2025 NCAA Division I Girls’s Swimming and Diving Championships

Virginia got here into Day 2 tied with Stanford, every group having gained one relay and completed second in one other on Wednesday night time. The Cavaliers outscored the Cardinal by 47 factors on Thursday, including 151 to their tally to complete alone in first place with 179 factors.

Indiana and Stanford made the most important features on Thursday, bettering 24 and 23 factors, respectively, from their seedings. The Hoosiers did higher than predicted within the 500 free and 200 free relay; Stanford beat expectations within the 500 free and 200 IM. UVA picked up factors within the 500 free and 50 free.

Florida (-29), Texas (-25), Alabama (-15), and Tennessee (-12) have been off by double digits, which had an impression on the group standings. The Longhorns have been slated to complete Day 2 in second place behind Virginia, however Stanford’s overperformance and their misses (Texas was off by -15 within the 200 IM and by -10 within the relay) and the 2 groups swapped positions.
