Tour of Britain Women: Cat Ferguson claims victory on stage 3, takes race lead

Cat Ferguson (Movistar) out-sprinted Josie Nelson (Picnic-PostNl) from a five-rider escape group to assert stage 3 of the Tour of Britain. Ally Wollaston (FDJ-SUEZ) was third.

It was a disastrous day for race chief Kristen Faulkner (EF-Oatly) who had a crash and a number of other stops to get her gear working once more.

Wollaston took over as race chief.
