MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Some Oasis followers weren’t fairly “mad fer it” when the band devoted a tune to Manchester Metropolis supervisor Pep Guardiola at a homecoming live performance.
A smattering of boos adopted Liam Gallagher dedicating “D’You Know What I Imply?” to “the best supervisor of all time, the one and solely Pep Guardiola” — who was in attendance.
It occurred Friday evening at Heaton Park through the band’s first live performance in Manchester in 16 years as a part of its reunion tour.
Noel Gallagher then requested: “Who you booing?”
The brothers, who grew up in Manchester and are longtime Metropolis followers, have attended many video games over time as Guardiola has guided the membership to 6 Premier League titles — amongst an array of different trophies.
Guardiola, who obtained some respectful applause as effectively, did not appear to thoughts the razzing — probably from crosstown Man United followers on the present — and joined the remainder of the 70,000-plus followers in singing “Do not Look Again in Anger.”
It was the primary of 5 sold-out exhibits at Heaton Park for the Britpop band, which opened its tour final week in Cardiff, Wales.
