Jeremy Lin Announces Retirement From Basketball


In an Instagram put up, Jeremy Lin introduced his retirement from enjoying basketball. Lin wrote:

“As athletes, we’re at all times conscious that the potential of retirement is rarely distant. I’ve spent my 15-year profession figuring out that at some point I must stroll away, and but really saying goodbye to basketball right this moment has been the toughest determination I’ve ever made.



It has been the honour of a lifetime to compete in opposition to the fiercest opponents beneath the brightest lights and to problem what the world thought was potential for somebody who appears like me. I’ve lived out my wildest childhood goals to play in entrance of followers all all over the world. I’ll endlessly be the child who felt absolutely alive each time I touched a basketball.

So many individuals have sacrificed and poured into my journey, greater than I may ever repay. Thanks all for believing in me, for strolling with me, for celebrating my highs and selecting me up in my lows. It is a trip I by no means wished to finish however I do know it’s time. Lin performed for 9 seasons within the NBA. He began his profession with the Golden State Warriors earlier than having fun with a breakout season with the New York Knicks. Lin then performed for the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors.
