The Nevada ladies’s swimming and diving program is welcoming again one among its personal.
On Monday, Nevada head coach Brendon Bray introduced that alum Reese Lamph has been employed as an assistant coach.
A local of Las Vegas, Lamph swam for Nevada from 2020 to 2022 after transferring into this system from the College of Houston.
“We couldn’t be extra excited to have Reese be a part of our employees at Nevada,” Bray stated in a launch. “Along with her nice perspective and revered background swimming at top-of-the-line golf equipment within the nation, I feel she is the right match for our employees. It’s particular for me to have labored with Reese as an athlete as a result of I do know the optimistic influence she will have on the workforce, and I sit up for having her assist our program on this new position. Whereas at Nevada, Lamph competed primarily within the 500 free, 1650 and 400 IM. In 2021, Lamph completed sixth within the 1650 free (17:12.05) and thirteenth within the 500 free (4:59.75) to assist the Wolf Pack earn a 2nd-place end on the Mountain West Championships.
Lamph already has some teaching expertise beneath her belt, having been an assistant coach for her mom, Becky, the pinnacle coach at Andelson Excessive College in Las Vegas.
Rising up in Las Vegas, Lamph was a standout at each the membership and highschool stage. At Palo Verde Excessive College, she set faculty information within the 100 again and as a part of a 200 medley relay workforce. On the membership stage, she educated with the Sandpipers of Nevada and U.S. Olympic coach Ron Aitken.
Lamph, who graduated from Nevada in 2022, will start her teaching tenure instantly. She replaces Kristen Quiqley, an assistant on final 12 months’s employees who was employed at Simon Fraser College.
