In letters, Brian Kelly's attorneys press LSU for clarity on coach's firing without cause


Brian Kelly’s attorneys despatched a letter to LSU officers, dated Nov. 19, saying the coach would withdraw his lawsuit in opposition to the college if they’d affirm in writing that he was fired with out trigger and that LSU would pay his full contract buyout value $53 million.

In a separate letter to LSU, dated Nov. 18, Kelly’s attorneys mentioned the college’s failure to verify Kelly was terminated with out trigger and “its unsupported allegations of misconduct” by Kelly have hindered the 64-year-old coach’s capacity to get one other job in soccer.
