The Andre Dawson Traditional is an annual, round-robin collegiate baseball event designed by Main League Baseball to focus on Traditionally Black Faculties and Universities (HBCUs) and their baseball packages.
Persevering with its aim of highlighting the grand custom of Black faculty baseball, the 18th iteration of the event (initially often known as the City Invitational) is happening this weekend on the Jackie Robinson Coaching Advanced in Vero Seaside, Fla. It options seven HBCU baseball groups — Florida A&M, Southern, Alabama State, Bethune-Cookman, Grambling State, Jackson State and Texas Southern — in addition to Yale, which grew to become the primary Ivy League group to play within the Traditional.
