“Immersed: Altering the Present” follows Galen Franchek, a passionate USA swim coach working to interrupt down the systemic boundaries that restrict entry to swimming for folks of shade in Poughkeepsie, NY. Pushed by her perception in equal alternative, Galen based the nonprofit Mid-Hudson Aquatics to create entry, mentorship, and neighborhood for younger swimmers who’ve traditionally been not noted of the game.
