The Detroit Pistons have employed Luke Walton as lead assistant coach beneath JB Bickerstaff. Walton spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach beneath Bickerstaff with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Bickerstaff was employed by th ePistons shortly after his dismissal as head coach of the Cavaliers.
Walton was beforehand a head coach with the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings.
