Shapovalov to retain points, prize money after DQ


WASHINGTON — Canada’s Denis Shapovalov will retain his rating factors and prize cash after interesting his disqualification from the quarterfinals of the Mubadala Citi DC Open, the ATP introduced Monday.

Shapovalov misplaced the primary set 7-6 (5) in a match towards American Ben Shelton on Friday and trailed 6-3 in a tiebreaker within the second set when he threw his racket to the court docket and started shouting at a fan within the stands.
