Stage 15 of the Vuelta a España introduced one other dash showdown, with Kaden Groves (Alpecin-Deceuninck) prevailing over inexperienced jersey Wout van Aert (Visma-Lease A Bike) on the uphill end in Villablino. Corbin Sturdy (Israel-Premier Tech) rounded out the rostrum on the entrance of the decreased peloton on the end.

Regardless of the stage that includes a late first-category climb, the day introduced a mass bunch dash end, with the three dash stage winners thus far all that includes on the head of the race. Alpecin-Deceuninck had command of the top of the peloton within the closing kilometres, and so their confidence gained out because the Belgian squad delivered the Australian to his second stage win of the race.

There was a contact of late drama on the stage as total contender Primož Roglič (Crimson Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) was compelled to modify bikes on the downhill run to the end. Fortunately for the three-time winner and his crew, teammate Dani Martínez was round handy over his personal bike earlier than Roglič made his manner again to the peloton for the ultimate 9km.

The Slovenian completed together with the remainder of the pink jersey contenders – together with race chief Ben O’Connor (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) – completed safely within the peloton, that means the day introduced no modifications on the prime of the general standings. O’Connor continues to guide the race by 1:21 from Roglič.

Extra to return.
