After 15 months away from the tour, former World No.2 and two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova is able to return.
The 34-year-old, who gave beginning to her son Petr in July of 2024, will play later this month in Austin, earlier than competing at Indian Wells and Miami in March.
“After 15 month being away from tennis and having my child boy Petr, I’m coming again to the tennis circuit,” Kvitova stated. “I actually miss tennis and miss competing. I’m actually trying ahead to be again – I’m planning to play finish of this month, a match in Austin, then Indian Wells and Miami. I can not wait to see all my followers all over the world. Thanks for supporting me. It is going to be a pleasant journey and I can’t wait.”

The 31-time WTA title holder final performed in October of 2023 – she was ranked 14 on the time.
