The US Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Affiliation (USCSA) held its 4th week alpine season races within the Midwest, Mideast, Southeast, N. California, Northwest, Grand Teton, Atlantic Highlands, Allegheny, Rocky Mountain, and Japanese Areas over two weekends.
1/25 – 1/26 Southeast Convention Convention
The Southwest area held a race at Beech Mountain Resort in Beech, NC, with big slalom races for each women and men held on Saturday. Georgetown College claimed 1st place total within the males’s big slalom. Georgetown’s Nicholas Baratta led the crew in 2nd place behind Derin Berkin of Georgia Institute of Know-how in 1st place by 1.49 seconds. Montana State’s Erik Carlson positioned 4th, and teammate Leo DeMar positioned seventh. Whitman Faculty positioned 2nd total. Whitman’s Grant Andersen positioned eighth, adopted by teammate Brandon Neifert in ninth place.
