Bankes Looks to Winter Olympics After Cruel End to Season

The 29- 12 months outdated GB snowboarder was injured in coaching on Friday ruling her out of the weekend’s last two races of the season at Mont Sainte Anne in Canada.

19-year-old Lea Casta of France received the Crystal Globe for the general World Cup winner after victory in Saturday’s penultimate spherical that put her away from Brookes on the high of the standings.

Casta took the title with 805 factors, Charlotte Bankes who completed the season second with 622 factors.

“Gutted and pissed off to complete the season like this,” Bankes mentioned in an Instagram put up.

“However now the main focus is on getting the physique mended, recovering and coming again stronger subsequent 12 months for an enormous one [Winter Olympics].

“Thanks for everybody’s assist this season.”

Up till the damage it had been a superb season for Bankes.
