What we all know: Andy Murray had surgical procedure on a spinal cyst on Saturday.
What we don’t know: whether or not or not the two-time Wimbledon champion will flip as much as play Wimbledon.
A tweet by the ATP saying that Murray would miss Wimbledon has been deleted, and Murray is presently holding onto hope, with only a smidge over per week left till principal draw play begins at Wimbledon.
“He clearly went via a process yesterday, and it’s a must to wait and see now,” British Davis Cup Captain Leon Smith advised the BBC on Sunday, per Reuters. “My understanding is not any choice has been made and let’s hope for the very best for Andy.”
It is wait-and-see time for Murray this week, because the 37-year-old checks his restoration with Wimbledon entrance and middle, and the 2024 Paris Olympics lurking not too far within the distance…
In line with Stuart Fraser of the London Occasions: “Murray has not withdrawn from Wimbledon because it stands. He underwent minor surgical procedure on his again on Saturday and is now weighing up his restoration. The All England Membership has left open a doubles wild card for Andy and his brother Jamie within the meantime.”
