For the eighth time, Sydney, Australia will host the octagon on Jan. 31 for UFC 325: Volkanovski vs. Lopes 2.
The struggle card is headlined by a featherweight championship rematch between titleholder Alexander Volkanovski and No. 2 ranked Diego Lopes. The struggle promotion introduced the headliner on Thursday.
The 2 first fought final April at UFC 314. Volklanovksi defeated Lopes by way of unanimous determination in Miami that evening for the vacant championship. Ilia Topuria had relinquished the title to maneuver up the light-weight division chasing two-division champion standing. With the win over Lopes, Volkanovski turned a two-time featherweight titleholder.
Previous to the UFC 314 loss to Volklanovski, Lopes (27-7) was using a five-fight profitable streak. He rebounded at Noche UFC 3 with a dramatic TKO win over Jean Silva.
