A chilling tragedy has struck Arunachal Pradesh. Two younger vacationers from Kerala drowned after slipping into the frozen waters of Sela Lake in Tawang district, certainly one of India’s most scenic but harmful high-altitude vacationer spots.
The victims, 26-year-old Dinu and 24-year-old Mahadev, had been a part of a seven-member group visiting the lake at over 13,000 toes above sea stage. What started as a sightseeing journey became a determined rescue try when one vacationer slipped into the icy water.
In a courageous effort to save lots of him, Dinu and Mahadev rushed into the frozen lake. Whereas one vacationer managed to flee, the 2 had been pulled below fragile ice and disappeared.
