Athletes Speak Out After University Ends Swimming and Diving Program | WCHS Eyewitness News


Like many faculty athletes, Mia McBride adopted her ardour far-off from residence – in her case, eight hours away to grow to be a member of the Marshall College swimming and diving staff.

McBride and her teammates had been hit with troublesome information on Feb. 17 when Marshall’s Board of Governors moved to discontinue the swimming and diving staff.

“To push your self so exhausting and to actually try so exhausting to create that staff atmosphere collectively, for it to be eliminated on the drop of a hat, it’s an indescribable feeling,” McBride mentioned.
