Australian Open triggers maximum heat warning with 45°C forecast

The Australian Open suffered extra disruption on Tuesday (January 27, 2026) when it hit its most “warmth stress” score with forecasts of 45°C, which means the day’s remaining quarterfinals will happen underneath a closed roof till the climate relents.



The Melbourne main reached the very best degree of 5 for the second time in 4 days on its scale designed to guard gamers, followers and officers.
