It’s been a rollercoaster week for fans of Big E. After announcing that he’s unlikely to ever step foot inside the ring again after recent scans on his injured neck showed that he couldn’t be cleared, the former WWE Champion shared a heartwarming update on his life. He revealed on social media that he was dating the sister of current WWE Superstar, Michin (FKA Mia Yim).
Love Is In The Air For Big E
WWE’s national treasure, Big E recently revealed on Instagram that he’s in a relationship with Mia Yim’s sister, Kris Yim. He took to social media to share the news, posting a series of hilarious pictures that perfectly encapsulate Big E’s sense of humor. The caption wrote:
My neck is broken but my heart is whole
Many members of the wrestling industry commented on the post and shared their kind words and well wishes, including Mia Yim herself, Yim’s husband and AEW star Keith Lee, Naomi, Santino Marella and Renee Paquette.
Big E has been on the sidelines from the neck injury he sustained on SmackDown in March 2022, when Ridge Holland inadvertently dropped the New Day member on his neck. While his latest health update left even more uncertainty regarding his in-ring wrestling career, fans should be relieved that he’s pain-free and able to live a normal, happy life. He’s clearly not letting the injury get in the way of his personal life, celebrating his new-found love and keeping up with his hilarious nature.
What Does The Future Hold For Big E?
While WWE fans would love to see Big E perform again in the ring one day, we have to accept that it’s likely never going to happen – and that’s OK, because Big E’s long term health is the only thing that matters. However, this does not mean that the WWE Universe will never see him on WWE programming again.
In addition to already being an on-air personality during panels for major events and PLEs, Big E could still support his fellow New Day members by becoming their manager. He could even one day be the mouthpiece for another wrestler. His talents could still be used on camera, but he would also prove to be an invaluable asset behind-the-scenes, working as a producer, much like Jason Jordan, who also suffered a career-ending neck injury.
