Big Ten Women Day 1: Michigan Sweeps Relays, Sets Meet Record in 800; Peplowski Leads off With Record


The 2025 Large Ten Ladies’s Swimming and Diving Championships kicked off on Wednesday evening from McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on the campus of Ohio State College.

The primary evening consisted of the 200-yard medley relay and the 800 free relay.

Large Ten Ladies’s 200 Medley Relay

It was an especially shut race and end between Michigan and Indiana with a tenth of a second separating the convention rivals.

Michigan’s Casey Chung, Letitia Sim, Brady Kendall and Lindsay Flynn received the 200 medley relay in 1:34.42, an NCAA automated lower, and a few second off the Large Ten report.

Large Ten Ladies’s 800 Free Relay

The Wolverines made it 2-for-2 on evening one by successful the 800 free relay in a Large Ten meet report 6:52.04.



The time shattered the earlier meet report of 6:54.58 set in 2019.

Stephanie Balduccini, Hannah Bellard, Malia Amuan and Christey Liang comprised the successful relay as Michigan took the early lead within the meet.

Ohio State’s Sienna Angove, Erin Little, Mila Nikanorov and Rachel Bockrath took second in 6:54.53, additionally beating the earlier meet report.

USC’s Minna Abraham, Claire Tuggle, Mackenzie Hodges and Ella Ristic took third in 6:55.11.

Senior Anna Peplowski led off Indiana’s 800 freestyle relay with a 200 free cut up of 1:40.69, matching Michigan’s Siobhan Haughey’s Large Ten report swim from the 2018 Championships to rank tied-for-ninth all-time. Peplowski’s swim additionally shattered Haughey’s meet report from 2019 and beat her personal program report by 28 hundredths. Solely Virginia’s Gretchen Walsh’s 1:39.34 is quicker this season.

Peplowski will swim the 200 free once more Friday, seeking to defend her Large Ten title within the occasion.
