Boisson climbs rankings, Sinner keeps top spot despite French Open loss


PARIS — Loïs Boisson, the revelation of the French Open, has rocketed 296 locations up the WTA rankings after her fairy-tale run at Roland-Garros.

The Frenchwoman, who was 361st earlier than making it to the semifinals on the clay-court Grand Slam final week, jumped to sixty fifth within the newest version of the rankings printed Monday.



Coco Gauff defeated Boisson within the semifinals en path to her first French Open title. There was no change on the prime of the rankings, with Aryna Sabalenka main the pack forward of Gauff and her fellow American Jessica Pegula.
