MARSEILLE — Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime was eradicated within the second spherical of the Open 13 Provence event on Thursday after dropping a 6-4, 6-4 determination to China’s Zhang Zhizhen.
Auger-Aliassime, the No. 7 seed from Montreal, fell in a single hour 28 minutes.
Zhang, ranked fiftieth on the earth, transformed three of 4 break-point alternatives.
He took benefit of a mediocre serving efficiency by the Canadian, who received 67 per cent of first-serve factors and 42 per cent of second-serve factors.
The one different Canadian within the ATP 250 event, Denis Shapovalov of Richmond Hill, Ont., was eradicated within the first spherical.
