TURIN, Italy (AP) — Italy winger Federico Chiesa expressed his happiness at beginning a “new journey” amid studies he’s about to affix Liverpool from Juventus.
There was footage within the Italian media of Chiesa arriving at an airport forward of reportedly getting on a personal flight to England.
“I am actually completely happy and prepared for this new journey,” he mentioned. “I wish to thank the Juventus followers, thanks for all the love over time, I am going to maintain you in my coronary heart, thanks Juventus.
“I am actually, actually completely happy, we won’t wait, me and my household.”
Neither Liverpool nor Juventus have commented publicly on any deal involving Chiesa.
British media are reporting Liverpool can pay 13 million euros ($14.5 million) for Chiesa, who starred for Italy in its run to the European Championship title in 2021.
Chiesa, the son of former Italy striker Enrico Chiesa, could be the primary outfield participant signed by Liverpool because the arrival of latest supervisor Arne Slot.
Liverpool signed Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia on Tuesday in a deal that may see him keep on the Spanish group for the rest of the season.
