India’s Chirag Duhan entered his maiden ITF M25 singles semifinal following a 6-2, 7-6(1) victory over compatriot Ishaque Eqbal on the S.M. Krishna Memorial Open tennis event right here on Friday.

Within the last-four conflict, he’ll tackle high seed Jay Clarke, who ousted Karan Singh. Second seed Oliver Crawford beat Aryan Shah — who gained the title in Ahmedabad final week — to arrange a semis assembly towards Japan’s Ryuki Matsuda.

The outcomes: Singles: Quarterfinals: Ryuki Matsuda (Jpn) bt Maxim Zhukov (Rus) 6-4, 7-6(3); Chirag Duhan bt Ishaque Eqbal 6-2, 7-6(1); Jay Clarke (GBR) bt Karan Singh 7-6(5), 6-1; Oliver Crawford (GBR) bt Aryan Shah (IND) 6-3, 6-0.

Doubles: Semifinals: Nick Chappell (USA) & Grigoriy Lomakin (Kaz) bt Aryan & Karan 6-1, 6-0; S.D. Prajwal Dev & Nitin Kumar Sinha bt Manish Sureshkumar & Parikshit Somani 6-0, 7-6(5).
