The Colorado Buffaloes are reportedly in touch with Virginia Tech switch cornerback Dante Lovett, in response to On3’s Pete Nakos.
Lovett entered the portal on Tuesday following the firing of head coach Brent Pry. The change in management gave the complete Virginia Tech roster a 30-day window to enter the switch portal. Nakos reported that Colorado, Florida State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin have been among the many many colleges that reached out.
Lovett was a beginning cornerback for the Hokies by means of three video games, recording six tackles. He performed in 29 video games over his profession, tallying 36 tackles, one interception, seven cross breakups, and one fumble restoration throughout that point.
He could have an opportunity to redshirt in 2025 after taking part in in solely three video games, which is able to give him two seasons of eligibility at his subsequent program. Lovett could be a major addition to Colorado’s secondary, which is able to probably have to interchange star DJ McKinney this offseason.
