Feisty Porcupine Bites Skier’s Leg At Alta

ALTA, Utah – There’s nothing scarier than a ferocious animal on the slopes of your favourite ski resort. Personally I might not need to get too near a porcupine, even when it appeared pleasant. I’ve seen what they’ll do to my canine, I don’t need that to occur to my leg. However this one simply walked proper as much as a skier and bit down on his leg, latching on arduous sufficient to be lifted off the bottom.

Porcupines don’t often use biting as a protection mechanism, usually counting on their quills as an alternative. However they do have a fairly highly effective jaw with giant,  enamel-surfaced cheek-teeth to allow them to chew on and eat tree wooden. Male porcupines will use their tooth and quills when combating one another, although.
