GB win wheelchair tennis World Team Cup bronzes


Nice Britain gained bronze medals within the males’s and quad occasions on the wheelchair tennis World Staff Cup in Turkey.

Ben Bartram and Dahnon Ward beat France pair Geoffrey Jasiak and Gaetan Menguy respectively within the singles of the boys’s bronze medal play-off.



Greg Slade and Gary Cox beat Australia within the deciding doubles to complete third within the quad competitors in Antalya.

Australia pressured a decider when Benjamin Wenzel beat Andy Lapthorne after Slade had gained the opening singles match towards Finn Broadbent.

“I am actually comfortable and really pleased with all our efforts this week,” stated Bartram.

“It is undoubtedly a really deserved bronze medal.”
