Giants see slight bump in latest ESPN power rankings

Following the 2024 NFL draft, ESPN launched an up to date model of their energy rankings and had the New York Giants nestled in close to the underside at No. 28 total.

4 months later, Massive Blue’s inventory has improved. Barely.

On Monday, the ESPN workers launched their revised energy rankings, full with a take a look at the executives, coaches, and gamers who will enter the common season on the recent seat.

For the Giants, quarterback Daniel Jones is unsurprisingly listed as being on the “sizzling seat.” Extra notable, nevertheless, is that New York truly climbed two spots within the rankings to No. 26 total.

Put up-draft rating: 28

Who’s on the recent seat: QB Daniel Jones

The Giants negotiated Jones’ contract final offseason with the power to moderately get out after two years. Effectively, up to now, Jones harm his neck, tore his ACL, and produced two landing passes and 6 interceptions in six video games for $46 million. The staff has made no secret about him needing to show he’s the conductor, not only a passenger, after having regarded for his substitute within the draft.

The Jones discuss is redundant, so there’s actually no must dive in on that. He must play effectively in 2024 or he’ll be gone in 2025. It’s that straightforward and never value rehashing any additional.

Sadly, as a result of the piece centered solely on Jones, there was no clarification supplied as to why the Giants climbed two spots over the previous 4 months. But when we have been to guess, it most likely has one thing to do with rookie vast receiver Malik Nabers.
