As a part of “The Street to The Open”, Golf Eire will introduce golf taster periods to 75 colleges throughout Ulster, whereas rolling out “Unleash Your Drive”, a brand new six-week main faculty programme in 20 colleges.
The programme, which features a dedication to coaching 40 academics to include golf into the college day and which was developed by the Golf Basis and The R&A, will likely be managed and delivered throughout the island by Golf Eire workers.
Golf Eire and The R&A will even take the Claret Jug on a tour of golf equipment and communities throughout Eire within the lead-up to the ultimate Main of the season in July.
On the membership aspect, Golf Eire will launch GolfNines all through Ulster and join the established GolfSixes format to The Open, with ladies attending Ladies Festivals and Ladies’ golf programmes invited to observe The Open dwell. This follows on from Golf Eire’s dedication to succeed in over 500 colleges, prepare 1,000 new coaches and volunteers, and introduce 200,000 members to golf over a five-year interval.
