“He Ain’t Beating No Bud Crawford” — Tim Bradley Says Benavidez Would Lose If He Dropped Back Down to 168

Tim Bradley says David Benavidez would lose to undisputed tremendous middleweight champion Terence Crawford if he have been to maneuver again all the way down to 168.

Crawford’s Complexity Issue

Bradley states that he re-watched Benavidez’s battle in opposition to former IBF 168-lb champion Caleb Plant from March 2023, and believes Crawford is just too complicated for him. He’d reap the benefits of the errors that he made in his battle with Plant to defeat him.

The Weight Drain Downside

It might be tough for Benavidez (30-0, 24 KOs) to return to 168, as he’s been campaigning at 175 since 2024. Draining again all the way down to his previous weight class at tremendous middleweight would take so much out of him.

“If Benavidez was at 168 once more, he ain’t beating no Bud Crawford. Nope, he ain’t beating Crawford,” stated Tim Bradley on his channel. “Shakur was proper. He all the time stated it. ‘Benavidez can’t beat him.’”

If Benavidez fought as poorly as he did within the first 5 rounds in opposition to Caleb Plant in 2023, Crawford would have a very good shot at beating him. The issue is, Crawford isn’t as massive, younger, or harmful sufficient on offense to get away with what Plant was in opposition to Benavidez.

Crawford doesn’t like getting hit and would take fewer dangers to land his photographs in comparison with what Plant was doing in his loss to Benavidez. All of the operating round Crawford did in his slim win over Canelo Alvarez on September thirteenth wouldn’t get the job carried out in opposition to ‘The Mexican Monster.’

Why Bud Would Make Him Pay

“The scale, although. It is a dude that is aware of the best way to use his dimension, and he places that stress on you. He makes plenty of errors. Someone with the complexity of Crawford goes to see all of the errors and make him pay for them. And, it’s all about making him pay typically. I might by no means wager in opposition to Crawford as a result of I do know what that man is manufactured from,” stated Benavidez.

Crawford wasn’t taking probabilities in opposition to the low-output Canelo, and he must throw extra punches if he fought Benavidez if he wished to win. The hit and run wouldn’t get the job carried out for Bud. It might be admirable if Terence have been to battle aggressively like he did in opposition to Israil Madrimov and Errol Spence.

We didn’t see that model of Crawford within the Canelo battle, and we’d see even much less in opposition to Benavidez as a consequence of his dimension and quantity.
