Illinois Swimming introduced a scholarship in honor of John “Jack” Yetter, a 53 year-old official, swim dad, and former swimmer, who died unexpectedly final week.
“Jack had a lifelong dedication to the game of swimming,” reads his obituary.
Yetter started swimming at 5 years outdated and continued by way of school at Northern Illinois College.
He then attended College of Dayton Regulation Faculty and started a profession in privateness regulation. He married his spouse, Julie, and had two kids, Sean and Molly.
Yetter grew to become a swim dad as his youngsters joined Saint Charles Swim Staff, the place he continued his involvement with the game.
