Kolkata, twenty fifth October 2025: Hockey India President and former India Males’s Hockey Workforce Captain Dr. Dilip Tirkey was on Friday honoured with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ by the Calcutta Sports activities Journalists’ Membership (CSJC) in recognition of his excellent contribution to Indian sports activities. The celebrated award was introduced to Dr. Tirkey by former BCCI president and Indian cricket workforce captain Sourav Ganguly in Kolkata.
A stalwart of Indian hockey, Dr. Tirkey represented the nation in file 412 worldwide matches, together with three Olympic Video games (1996, 2000, 2004), and is broadly considered one in every of India’s most interesting defenders.
