Indian boys go down to Korea


Third seed Korea defeated seventh seed India 3-0 in a Group C league match of the Asia-Oceania Junior Davis Cup under-16 boys tennis event at Shymkent (Kazakhstan) on Tuesday.

It was the second defeat in two matches for India, following the one in opposition to unseeded Uzbekistan. 

With each Korea and Uzbekistan registering two wins every, India was dominated out of the quarterfinals meant for the highest two groups from every of the 4 teams.

Australia, Chinese language Taipei, Japan, Hong Kong, China and host Kazakhstan have been the opposite six groups to substantiate their qualification for the quarterfinals. Like Inida, eighth seed New Zealand additionally misplaced out within the race for quarterfinals.

The highest 4 groups will make it to the World Group stage.
