Ishaque Eqbal knocks out Karan Singh


Ishaque Eqbal survived six match factors to beat second seed Karan Singh 6-7(4), 7-6(8), 6-3 within the quarterfinals of the $15,000 ITF males’s tennis match on the CLTA Complicated on Friday.

In a battle of wits that lasted three hours, Karan served 14 aces. Nevertheless, it was Ishaque’s serving prowess that handed scrutiny as he wriggled out of the clutches of defeat whereas going through three match factors at 0-40 within the tenth recreation of the second set.

Eqbal, who fired 11 aces himself, saved three extra match factors within the second set tie-break.
