Indiana freshman Noah Cakir has been shifting up the ranks of school swimming. Shortly.
At IU’s mid-season meet, the Ohio State Invite, Cakir clocked private bests of 52.11 and 1:51.68 within the 100/200 breast, good for thirty fourth and ninth within the NCAA. Then on the US Open in Austin, Cakir clocked instances of 1:00.55 (seventh) and a pair of:11.38 (2nd), enhancing his LCM bests as nicely.
This was simply 3 months of collegiate coaching. Previous to arriving in Bloomington, Cakir had solely practiced 6 instances per week for a lot of the yr, solely doing doubles within the summers. This appears to point that Cakir is already on an enormous enchancment curve and we may see even greater drops from the newcomer come championship season.
