Jacksonville State fends off Troy to win Salute to Veterans Bowl


In a battle of two groups from the state of Alabama, Jacksonville State (9-5) held off Troy (8-6) to earn a 17-13 victory within the Salute to Veterans Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama. 

After a defensive cease, Troy had the soccer and an opportunity to take the lead with 3:23 remaining. 



Nonetheless, an interception thrown by QB Tucker Kilcrease gave the ball proper again to the Gamecocks, who all of a sudden had an opportunity to ice the sport. 

Troy’s protection held sturdy and gave their offense one closing probability to mount a drive to win the sport, however a Hail Mary from Kilcrease fell incomplete as the ultimate seconds ticked off the clock.
