MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Manchester Metropolis bought Portugal full again Joao Cancelo to Saudi Arabian champion Al-Hilal for 25 million euros ($28 million) on Tuesday.
Cancelo will be part of a squad already containing Brazil star Neymar and Portugal teammate Ruben Neves.
The 30-year-old Cancelo fell out of favor with Metropolis supervisor Pep Guardiola halfway by the 2022-23 season and has since had mortgage spells at Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
He returned to Metropolis within the offseason however wasn’t anticipated to be a part of the Premier League champions’ plans this season.
Al-Hilal has gained the Saudi Professional League a report 19 instances and has been champion in six of the previous eight seasons.
