Shark assaults have hit the headlines this week – with Sydney, Australia seeing 4 separate incidents in simply 48 hours. However what occurs within the aftermath of a shark assault? A then 15-year-old Lulu Gribbin was simply waist-deep within the sea at Florida’s Seacrest Seashore, when she was attacked by a bull shark which tore off her left hand, and a part of her proper leg. After being airlifted to hospital, docs have been surprised that Lulu had survived, having misplaced two thirds of her blood.
