ALLISON: From the second I unboxed the Merrell Antora 4, I used to be instantly drawn to its aesthetic. Whereas my pair wasn’t the eggshell colorway that Melissa had (which, let’s be actual, wouldn’t have stayed clear for lengthy given my path habits — simply test my Brooks evaluations for proof), the newborn blue shade was a refreshing change from the everyday darker, earth-toned path sneakers I’ve worn prior to now. It added a pleasant pop of colour with out being overly flashy, which I appreciated.
Past the seems, I used to be impressed by the light-weight really feel of the Antora 4. Not like bulkier, extra rugged path sneakers, this one struck a terrific stability between consolation and agility. It felt nimble underfoot, making it a terrific possibility for runners who don’t need to really feel weighed down. One other standout characteristic was the open, plush toe field, which was a noticeable enchancment over the Morphlite. The additional area offered a snug match, permitting my toes to splay naturally — an important characteristic for path runs. Truly, it jogged my memory of the Teva Trailwinder.
