HIGHWAY 542 UPDATE for FEB. 2 – 6, 2026:
Hwy 542 can be closed east of Glacier Feb. Monday 2 – the afternoon of Friday 6, with no public entry to the Ski Space. The Ski Space can be closed Feb. 2 – 6 and can re-open for each day operations Saturday Feb. 7.
Whereas there may be by no means a superb time for the freeway to be shut down in the course of the season, we respect WSDOT and their contractor working with us and scheduling this obligatory work throughout a time that can be least impactful to our operations and public entry. We wish to thank all our companions at WSDOT for his or her arduous work and responsiveness as they’ve coordinated with us all through this venture. With out them and the work they do for the touring public, we couldn’t function the Ski Space!
