Nico Iamaleava makes statement about his Tennessee departure


Quarterback Nico Iamaleava has formally selected his new college and made an announcement about his controversial switch.

Iamaleava has dedicated to UCLA, he introduced Sunday on Instagram. That confirms earlier reporting that stated the quarterback deliberate to play for the Bruins in 2025.



Iamaleava briefly addressed his choice to depart Tennessee as a part of the announcement. He thanked Volunteers followers for his or her help, and admitted that he had not deliberate on leaving as quickly as he did.

“To the superb individuals in Knoxville, thanks for embracing and uplifting me all through my time there,” Iamaleava wrote. “I’ll be perpetually grateful for the help you confirmed me each step of the best way and I’ll all the time cherish the relationships I constructed there and the reminiscences I created with my brothers. I consider with all my coronary heart that I gave my all as a Volunteer. I’m really grateful for the time I had at UT.

“My journey at UT has come to an finish. This choice was extremely tough, and in truth, not one thing I anticipated to make this quickly. However I belief God’s timing, and I consider He’s main me the place I should be.”
