Oklahoma favored to land 2025 defensive lineman out of Florida

After a implausible 2024 line of defense haul that netted David Stone, Jayden Jackson, Nigel Smith, Danny Okoye, and Wyatt Gilmore, the Oklahoma Sooners have achieved a pleasant job including expertise upfront within the 2025 recruiting class.

With 5 months till the early signing interval, the Sooners have commitments from C.J. Nickson, Trent Wilson, Ka’Mori Moore, and Alexander Shieldknight, bolstering a deep unit once they arrive in Norman. And it doesn’t seem like Todd Bates is thru by any stretch of the creativeness.

The Sooners have been in pursuit of Rivals four-star defensive lineman Floyd Boucard and, on Wednesday night, earned a trio of crystal ball predictions from 247Sports recruiting insiders Tom Loy, Brian Dohm, and Collin Kennedy of Sooners Illustrated.

Boucard is a 6-foot-3, 315 pound defensive deal with prospect who has solely been taking part in soccer for a number of years. He grew up in Canada taking part in hockey and the agility and athleticism required is obvious.

He’s a dynamic disruptor, taking part in each defensive deal with and defensive finish in three-man fronts for Miami Central. Boucard reveals off a very nice first step off the road of scrimmage and nice lateral agility. He’s sturdy and has good play velocity for the place. When requested to play in a two-gap name on protection, he does a fantastic job staying disciplined within the system and is implausible at shedding blocks.

Although thought-about a three-star prospect by 247Sports and On3, Boucard has an opportunity to see his rating climb over the course of his senior season. He’s obtained all the flexibility groups are on the lookout for from a defensive lineman and has the flexibility, means, and expertise to play a number of spots on the subsequent degree.

Boucard is about to make his dedication resolution on July 20 and appears to be selecting between USC, Miami, and Alabama.
