Oklahoma Sooners take No. 1 spot in latest NFCA Coaches Poll

The Oklahoma Sooners are again on high of the softball world after their spectacular three-game sweep of the Texas Longhorns over the weekend. By holding down their house subject and beating their Crimson River rivals in all three video games, the Sooners opened up a two-game lead within the win column with one SEC Softball sequence to play.

The Sooners moved as much as the No. 1 spot in Softball America’s high 25 on Monday. On Tuesday, the NFCA Coaches Ballot returned the four-time defending nationwide champion Sooners to their rightful place atop the game.

The Texas A&M Aggies, who’re simply two wins behind the Sooners, are available in at No. 2. The Large Ten’s Oregon Geese are at No. 3. Then it is again to the SEC for No. 4 Texas and No. 5 Tennessee. The Volunteers will play the Aggies this weekend in Knoxville as each colleges attempt to catch the Sooners for the SEC common season title.

This week, seven of the highest 10 groups come from the SEC, and 11 of the highest 25.

This is a take a look at the complete NFCA Coaches Ballot coming into the ultimate week of the common season.
