Within the years since his gold-medal-winning efficiency on the Tokyo Video games in 2020, Steveson has pursued a wide range of ventures, together with brief stints with the NFL and WWE.

With former two-division UFC champion Jon Jones in his nook, Steveson’s MMA debut couldn’t have gone any higher. The Olympian secured a single takedown earlier than pounding out a TKO victory lower than two minutes into the competition.

Rising from the bout unscathed, Steveson vowed to remain lively.

“I had the largest rush of my life placing on these gloves and getting that victory,” Steveson mentioned throughout an look on The Ariel Helwani Present. “I wish to maintain it that means,” Steveson mentioned. I wish to keep on with MMA. I wish to take it at some point at a time. I’m 1-0 proper now.

“I want to be 2-0, 3-0, 4-0, and simply maintain it going, and simply imagine in myself. You’ve received to concentrate on one factor, and I wish to concentrate on this.”
