OSAKA, Japan — Naomi Osaka pulled out of her quarterfinal match on the Japan Open on Friday due to a left leg damage.

Her withdrawal forward of the match resulted in Jaqueline Cristian advancing to the semifinals on a walkover, the WTA Tour stated.
