Randy Brown vs. Muslim Salikhov added to UFC Vegas 85, injuries scrap 3 fighters


A welterweight combat between Randy Brown and Muslim Salikhov has been added to UFC Vegas 85, and the Feb. 3 combat card has misplaced three fighters attributable to damage, the promotion introduced Thursday.

Among the many fighters scrapped from the winter occasion: Nate Maness, Kiefer Crosbie and William Gomis.

Maness was scheduled to tackle Azat Maksum, however Maksum will now tackle Charles Johnson in a flyweight bout. Welterweight Crosbie has been changed by Pete Rodriguez, who will now tackle Themba Gorimbo.

Moreover, a featherweight bout between William Gomis and Melsik Baghdasaryan has been cancelled attributable to Gomis’ withdrawal, and Baghdasaryan will now face Hyder Amil at UFC Vegas 86 on Feb. 10 in Las Vegas, the promotion introduced.

Brown vs. Salikhov was scheduled to happen at UFC 296 earlier than Salikhov was scratched attributable to sickness. Brown hopes to rebuild after a setback to Jack Della Maddalena scrapped a four-fight profitable streak, whereas Salikhov is 1-2 in his previous three outings after a unanimous determination loss to Nicolas Dalby.

UFC Vegas 85 is headlined by a middleweight combat between standouts Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov. The combat card, which takes place at UFC APEX in Las Vegas, is anticipated to air on ESPN+.
