Roderick Sturdy goes to AEW Full Gear, as he has earned his spot in a match towards MJF.
MJF beforehand named his phrases for a match on the present, as he mentioned he would face both Adam Cole or Roderick Sturdy. He acknowledged that whoever gained three consecutive matches first would earn the appropriate to face him. The competitors got here all the way down to the November 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, as Cole and Sturdy gained two matches every heading into the present.
On Wednesday, Sturdy defeated Lance Archer in a Falls Rely Wherever match. In doing so, he earned a spot within the match towards MJF at AEW Full Gear.
AEW Worldwide Champion Konosuke Takeshita then attacked Sturdy from behind. Cole made the save and kickstarted their match. They battled it out in an exciting bout, and ultimately, Takeshita hit Cole with MJF’s Dynamite Diamond Ring, which was hidden beneath the ring, to clinch the win. The printed group confirmed that this meant that Sturdy would face MJF at AEW Full Gear, and Cole wouldn’t be a part of the match.
Had Cole gained his match towards Takeshita, he would have confronted MJF and Sturdy in a three-way match at AEW Full Gear.
Cole has been focusing on MJF since his return at AEW WrestleDream. MJF beforehand took Cole out at AEW Double or Nothing.
