Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. requested for privateness Monday after he revealed the loss of life of his son DeAndre by suicide.
A written assertion posted by Jones on social media platforms, indicated DeAndre dedicated suicide Saturday. Jones stated he spent DeAndre’s last night with him and different members of the family.
“Sadly, my son DeAndre took his personal life on Saturday,” Jones wrote. “I’m so grateful that God allowed me to come back dwelling Friday evening to spend the final evening of his life with me [sic] and the household. I do know lots of people are going via powerful instances proper now, however nothing is value taking your personal life. God offers it and God needs to be the one to take it away.
“Please respect our privateness whereas my household and I course of this loss.”
DeAndre is survived by his father, his mom Natlyn, and siblings DeShaun and Roy III.
