Sramkova Stops Siegemund for Maiden Title in Hua Hin

Rebecca Sramkova was in no temper for a comfort prize in the present day.

Per week after she was runner-up in Monastir, the 27-year-old Sramkova charged to her first profession title in Hua Hin.

World No. 102 Sramkova defeated Laura Siegemund 6-4, 6-4 to win the Thailand Open title in Hua Hin.

The Bratislava-born baseliner scored her ninth victory in her final 10 matches.

Sramkova’s breakthrough triumph got here one week after she misplaced to British qualifier Sonay Kartal 6-3, 7-5 within the Monastir closing.

At the moment, Sramkova broke Siegemund’s serve 4 instances in a one hour, 56-minute victory.
